5 weeks into our foster care journey we finally got the nursery all cute and matchingย
And then I decided to switch it up with a new CACTUS rug thanks to Lorena Canals ????
I had been obsessed with this rug since I saw it when planning our nursery theme. If you know me at all, you know how obsessed I am with cacti, but you also know how obsessed I am with white and basically non-color ;). We want to keep it as gender neutral as possible, as we don’t know who/how many babes will be in and out of this room, but still have a theme we love! So, of course this rug fits in perfectly with my vision for the nursery.
And on top of it all, as I was looking at this rug I learned that:
#1. Their rugs and cushions are all machine-washable and fit into a standard washer and dyer. WUT!?!! Life with a shedding Beagle and choosing a black rug?! This just made that decision that was a little tricky SO much easier.
#2. They’re made with all natural dyes, handmade, eco and contain no VOCs like most carpeting and rugs. SO even though I kind of like that new carpet smell, it’s actually NOT good for your body to breathe that in. Hooray for rugs free of that!!
#3. The rugs are made in India, designed in Spain, and proceeds support the Sakula project, and provide schooling for children in India.
It just kept getting better and better!
My sister in laws also gifted me this beautiful cactus print for Christmas that just happens to match this dream rug perfectly.
So basically, the verdict is that I love the rug in person and in the nursery as much as I thought I would ๐ (You can grab it here.)
