2015 is going to be a year full of big goals and big changes. Changes for the better. I have had the chance to step back and reevaluate why I am doing what I am doing; specifically with Marriage Celebration sessions. There is something big in store for these changes which will be announced in March, and I can’t wait! I will be sharing small glimpses into the changes in store as we work our way through February.
Today I am sharing a small peek into the “why” of marriage celebrations. Why even think about having one of these sessions? Why invest? Instead of me answering these questions, I am going to let Baylee do all the talking. She and Luke had a marriage celebration session on a rare warm November day and you can view their whole session here. Here’s what she had to say about the experience of Marriage Celebration Sessions.
It was such a blessing to Luke and I to have a marriage celebration session with Alex/Everlasting Love Photography. She really made us feel like we were celebrating our marriage by taking beautiful photographs of our love.We had not had pictures taken of us since our wedding day, and getting these taken captured how our love has grown and changed into something even more beautiful. I love having keepsakes to celebrate and commemorate this moment in time to look back on for many years to come.
We wanted to invest in a session in order to celebrate one another and our marriage, something that can be easy to forget in our busy lives. We both felt spoiled and blessed to be honored in such a personal way and so happy that we decided to take the time to have the session! We honored our marriage and one another by choosing to do the shoot, and Alex blessed us by doing it for us. We were able to laugh and act silly together, and enjoy each other with hugging and smooches in some beautiful scenery. The session felt so natural and comfortable, with her photographing us being ourselves and having fun together, rather than feeling posed with fake smiles. I loved laughing the entire time and trusting she would capture the beauty of our relationship, and she did so well!
Alex was excited about our marriage celebration too and I loved having fun with her during the session and having someone who so evidently values marriage and couples taking our photos. Not only that, but she captured our uniqueness as a couple! Thank you Alex, for sharing your incredible talent with us and blessing us for the rest of our lives with such beautiful photographs.
