WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!

This post is months behind, but here we are. Knee deep in painting, unpacking and making our house a home. I thought I would share a little bit about what has happened in the past couple months!

On March 7th, our new home went on the market, we went and saw it twice (once at 11, once at 6). And because our market is insane, we went to connection group and decided to make an offer at 9:30 that night.

An offer that included that the sellers leave their ping pong table ???? 

The sellers accepted that offer at 11am the next morning. And around 12 I dropped off an earnest money check and made my way to Des Moines to hop on a plane to Florida. ????

Talk about a whirlwind of a day.

We closed on our new home May 1, and had a plan to get our ceilings retextured right away. So I booked a trip to photograph one of my favorite families. Can you guess where that trip happened to be to!? Florida. The very next day after closing ???? 

As the story would unfold, we actually wouldn’t get our ceilings done until the next week. Shifting all of our plans for later in the month. We thought we would be all painted by mid-May and ready to move in.

We were wrong ???? Here we are, June 20th. With an ENTIRE basement waiting to be painted. Oh homeownership. But our upstairs is looking EXACTLY how I envisioned, and I’m in LOVE.
