Dear Ty,
It’s been four whole years since that stormy morning, turned sunny afternoon. Four whole years. 48 months, 208 weeks, 1461 days, 35040 hours. Since the day we committed our lives to one another. Through good. Through bad. Our entire lives.
I woke up early to get my hair done, and with time to kill we called each other after to fill out your FAFSA. I headed to the church, where I did my makeup and put on that puffy white dress upstairs. And you headed to the church basement, in that not-so-pretty-nursery, to put on your oversized rental tux.
We met for our first look at Grandview Park. I remember sitting in the car waiting for you to be all set up. Worrying about if you could see me. What you you would think of my dress. Of my hair. Of my makeup.
You have loved me so well since that day. Before that day too, but especially since that day.
Your patience is unending. Your servant heart is prevalent in every aspect of our lives. Your hunger to love me just as Christ loves the church is overwhelmingly beautiful.
God is using our marriage for such great things. He’s healing us in ways I didn’t even know we needed healing. He’s molding us, shaping us to spread His greatness. And there is no one in this world I would rather be right alongside of.
My love, I am so thankful for you. More thankful than words could ever say. Thank you for being such an amazing representation of Christ. Thank you for encouraging me always, for dreaming with me, for adventures, for your silliness, and just for loving me so well.
