Oh my goodness! I am SO excited to share these stunning images with you all today. Luke and Baylee are two of our good friends and they have the sweetest souls I’ve ever had the pleasure of being around. They are so fun, caring, and just plain adorable. I am so thankful that they are in our lives, and so thankful that I had the opportunity to photograph this marriage celebration session. They will be celebrating two years of marriage in May, but we had a oddly warm weekend in December so we decided to set out to do a session! That’s what I love about marriage celebration sessions. They don’t have to happen on your anniversary. Marriage is worth celebrating any time of the year! For this session I shot a mixture of digital and medium format. (For those of you who are interested, all images were shot on a Nikon D800, and Pentax 645 using Portra 400. Processing and scanning were done by the amazing Photovision!) I love shooting film during these sessions. It forces me to slow down, in turn forcing the couple to cuddle and stay in their embraces longer. See if you can tell the difference between the film and digital images 😉 Enjoy!
Everlasting Love Photography is local to Ames, Iowa but travels frequently for engagements, weddings, and anniversaries. We are booking well into 2015.
