Oh goodness. I have been DYING to share these images since I received the film scans back a week ago. And today is finally the day! Almost two weeks ago, Tyler and I met Rachel & Derek at Backbone State Park for anniversary photos. Tyler and I started off on the other side of the camera and then took turns switching between being the subjects and photographers.Rachel is the beautiful face behind Ember Grove Photography and it was such an honor to photograph her and Derek AND to be photographed BY her!
Tyler and I had so much fun exploring this beautiful gem near Dubuque after the wedding we photographed the previous day. We roamed around searching for the perfect light, stopping to take turns photographing each other when we would find it. ย Rachel let me use her amazing Contax 645. This is my first time ever using medium format film, and I must say I am absolutely smitten. This post is filled with digital images, 35mm film images, and medium format images. Thank you so much Tyler for being willing to shoot alongside me digitally just in case I messed something up with film ๐ Rachel and Derek, thank you both for our time together! I loved getting to know you guys and exploring the place where you two committed your lives to each other a little over a year ago! Rachel, thank you so much for sharing your amazing camera. Buying a Contax is definitely on my big goal list for 2015 ๐ Enjoy a few of my favorite frames from the day!
