At the end of June, I decided to take on one more project before my vacation in North Carolina. I wanted another chance to work some of the most incredible vendors I have ever worked with, and I wanted a creative outlet after a jam-packed month of weddings and sessions. So I planned an intimate and organic styled elopement. Everything seemed to fall into place until the day of the shoot. We woke up to severe weather rolling in, and even endured tornado warnings. We waited until the very last minute to see if we could still do the shoot, and we were able to. (With a LOT of rushing to get things done before we lost the little light that we had!) Holly and Ben drove into Ames from Altoona for Holly to start her hair and makeup at Serenity Couture Salon, while I went to Altoona to meet the wonderfully talented Shelly Sarver to pick up all of the gorgeous blooms she provided. I raced back in time to set everything up before Holly’s hair and makeup finished. Talk about a whirl-wind of a day! But guys, once you see these images you will know it was 0h-so-worth it. Every vendor involved is nothing short of incredible and I absolutely love working with each of them. 2015 brides, I am URGING you to use all of these vendors. Gah so easy to work with and their work… totally swoon-worthy! ( You can see full credits at the end of the post!)
