Oh my goodness I can’t even tell you guys how excited I am to finally be writing this post! A couple months ago I photographed a STUNNING styled wedding shoot with some of the most amazing vendors around. Since that shoot was published Tuesday on Burnett’s Boards, I am finally sharing it on my own blog! I introduced the shoot and a few vendors in March, but today I am going to share ALL about it!
When I started planning this shoot, I knew I wanted something different, yet still romantic, elegant and timeless. I originally had planned on a greenhouse shoot, but once I began planning the uniqueness I was hoping for just wasn’t there.
A huge dream of mine is to travel to Europe and photograph a wedding. Anywhere would be amazing but the top of my list is definitely Spain (with Italy is probably tied). Since I wasn’t fulfilling the dream anytime soon, I decided to draw my inspiration from that! We brought a little bit of Spain to Iowa during the winter, and it was perfect!
As a past bride, I know firsthand how easy it is to try to mimic popular wedding images you see online, which is why I wanted something unique for this shoot. It wasn’t until I dove into planning that I realized how possible it is to have your wedding easily represent your vision and who you are as a couple!
The vendors who made this shoot possible are each absolutely amazing. I am seriously still in awe of how great each and every single vendor that participated in this shoot was. I wish I would have thought of utilizing Etsy to find the large and small details of our own wedding. I also wish I would have met Shelly sooner and focused more on our own flowers for our wedding. This shoot just made me fall in love with wedding planning all over again 😉 I HIGHLY encourage you all to check out each of the vendors who participated in this shoot, and even if you’re not getting married check them out and tell your friends who are getting married soon to as well!
Thank you to Prairie Moon Winery for allowing us to use your venue! It fit my vision so perfectly and everyone was SO helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much, Zac and Holly, for being the perfect, low maintenance, patient and adorable models! Thank you Megan and Elisabeth at Serenity Couture, Ames for the GORGEOUS makeup and hair you ladies did for Holly (and to Cassie for being so helpful in setting everything up!), and to Van Hemert’s Dutch Oven Bakery for the stunning cake! Jillian Fellers, I can’t say this enough: your gowns are gorgeous and I am so honored to have been able to photograph the Stella gown. It was like it was made for Holly and this shoot! SO STUNNING! Brides, you need to check out the rest of her gowns! A HUGE thank you to ALL of the Etsy vendors who joined this team. Every single detail was perfect for this shoot. And another HUGE thank you to Shelly of Shelly Sarver Designs. Shelly, to this day, I am BLOWN AWAY by your work on this shoot, as well as your other weddings and shoots. Shelly took my scattered thoughts about this shoot and made it perfect and exactly how I saw it in my mind. I am so thankful to have met her, and I hope that all of my future brides contact her for their floral and design needs!
